The South Plains College Board of Regents adopted the Effective Tax Rate of .216192 for fiscal year 2008. Information regarding this action taken August 9, 2007 is provided below.

Board Vote on Proposed Tax Rate

On August 9, 2007, the South Plains College Board of Regents met in regular session to vote on the proposed ad valorem property tax rate of $0.216192. This rate is the Effective Tax Rate for fiscal year 2008 and is 2.5% lower than the tax rate of .221847 Regents set for fiscal year 2007. Regent Jim Montgomery made the motion to adopt the Effective Tax Rate and Regent Bobby Neal seconded that motion. The result of that vote is as follows:
