Summer I 2009 Gateway Program
Students wishing to participate in the Gateway Program must first complete the application process for Texas Tech University: www.admissions.ttu.edu/gateway. Students cannot apply for the Gateway Program directly through South Plains College.
Texas Tech will provide South Plains College with the list of freshmen applicants that have indicated an interest in either the Summer I Gateway Program or the Fall/Spring Gateway Program.
ATTENTION: ONLY STUDENTS WHO ARE EXEMPT FROM OR HAVE PASSED ALL THREE SECTIONS OF THE THEA (or approved alternative), MAY PARTICIPATE IN THE SUMMER I GATEWAY PROGRAM. For information about your TSI status, visit with your high school counselor or visit the Placement Testing (TSI) directory.
South Plains College will mail a participation letter to students expressing an interest in the Gateway Program. Students wishing to accept the Gateway Program must submit a completed South Plains College Application for Admission. If you have difficulty with the online process you can print the pdf format and mail it to address on the form. Be sure to write GATEWAY PROGRAM on the top of the form. South Plains College MUST have an official high school transcript verifying date of completion of high school. Students need to submit an official high school transcript as soon as they complete the SPC application. This will provide the admissions office with information. After high school completion, students must have AN OFFICIAL HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT DESIGNATING GRADUATION DATE SUBMITTED TO:
