50th Anniversary Celebration
South Plains College is observing its 50th Anniversary Celebration with commemorative activities through May 2008. The official celebration began in April 2007. The yearlong recognition, “Dreams Precede Realities,” will pay tribute to everyone contributing to the growth and success that SPC has enjoyed for the past 50 years.
From its first graduating class of two students, South Plains College now graduates more than 1,200 students annually. SPC serves a 15-county region and provides residents with accessible and affordable higher education. SPC alumni greatly contribute to the economic development of West Texas.
