TEAS TEST

 
ATTENTION 
  
All students registering for the TEAS Test must have a valid email address. You may be denied testing if you do not comply with this requirement.
 
The TEAS (Nursing Entrance Exam) is the first step to being admitted to the Associate Degree Nursing Program.  This program is offered on the Levelland Campus twice a year (August & January).

Associate Degree Nursing Testing Information
The computer test consists of:
Reading - 40 questions / 50 minutes
Math – 45 questions / 56 minutes
English – 55 questions / 65 minutes 
Retest date available for Reading Math & English sections. (You may only retest 1 time)
 
Calculators will be permitted on the Math section of this test and provided by the Counseling Center.

  

In order to fill out an application for the ADN program, you must make an 85% on the Reading section and 70% on the English section of this test .

 

You must present a photo ID (1) Driver's License, Student ID, Employee Badge or Passport, (2) A document with your Social Security Number on it (Social Security Card) to test. See Prohibited Materials Policy
If you do not make an 85% on the Reading Section of this test and 70% on the English section, please register for a retest in the testing office.
You must make an 85% on the MATH section in order to be exempt from taking the Nursing MATH course.
Students who are eligible to pick up an application package must have the following official documents to the Nursing Department no later that the published deadline.  These documents include:
  • OFFICIAL HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPTS - SEALED
  • For Official GED scores, contact the State of Texas or the place where you tested.  If you were home schooled, you must provide a Notarized copy of your high school scores.
  • OFFICIAL COLLEGE TRANSCRIPTS - Including SPC- SEALED
  • YOU MUST BE IN TSI COMPLIANCE
The Nursing Department on the Levelland Campus is located in the Technical Arts Bldg. Room 110

Payment by check must include your Driver’s License Number
printed on the top of your check. 
 
Checks without a Driver’s License Number will be returned
and the individual will not be signed up for a testing spot.

The TEAS (Nursing Entrance Exam) is a transition program (for students who are already licensed vocational nurses who have completed all the pre-requisities for the ADN Program). The first step to being admitted to the Associate Degree Nursing Program is the TEAS Test.  This program will begin August 2007).
 

Examinees who are late, will need to reschedule their testing date and repay their testing fee.
