TESTING TIME:  2.5 HOURS TOTAL ( 4 SECTIONS OF TEST)

TEST TIME:  Students must be in their testing seats 30 minutes prior to testing time or students will be required to reschedule testing date and repay fee.

Payment by check must include your Driver’s License Number
printed on the top of your check. 
 
Checks without a Driver’s License Number will be returned
and the individual will not be signed up for a testing spot.
 
Entrance Requirements  for LVN Program on the Levelland Campus
  • All students who are trying to apply for Fall 2008 Vocational Nursing Program MUST take LVN ACCUPLACER as the entrance exam.
  • Students CANNOT take THEA, ASSET or COMPASS to apply for the Vocational Nursing Program.
  • There will be NO EXEMPTIONS allowed for testing purposes.
  • Students may test ANYTIME the LVN ACCUPLACER test is offered.    Students are encouraged to test EARLY in order to avoid complications of testing at the last minute. 
  • Students may retest on LVN ACCUPLACER on posted retest dates.
  • Students who have taken and passed the TEAS test previously MUST take and pass the LVN ACCUPLACER exam.
  • Students intersted in LVN Levelland Program must test in Levelland.  Students interested in LVN Program at the Reese Center must test at Reese.
  • Cut off scores on ACCUPLACER in order to apply for the VOCATIONAL NURSING PROGRAM are

     

     

    Reading Comprehension Score:  78
    Math Test Score:  80 
    Listening Skills Score:  85
    English/Sentence Skills

    Score:  80 with Essay of 5

    or an Essay of 6-8

 

Procedure to follow after picking up an application:

Complete application for admissions to the Vocational Nursing program. The application will be completed the day of the pre-entrance exam if you have passing scores on all FOUR sections of the test.

Provide official transcripts from high school or GED scores & certificate (for GED scores, contract the State of Texas or the place where you tested) to both the college Admissions Office and to the Nursing Department.

Provide official college transcript (if applicable) to both South Plains College Admissions Office and to the Nursing Department.

A copy of ACT and or SAT scores (if applicable)
