Denver City - ADN Test

TEAS TEST

The TEAS (Nursing Entrance Exam) is a transition program (for students who are already licensed vocational nurses who have completed all the pre-requisities for the ADN Program). The first step to being admitted to the Associate Degree Nursing Program is the TEAS Test.  This program will begin August 2007.

 

  Associate Degree Nursing Testing Information

The computer test consists of:
Reading - 40 questions / 50 minutes
Math – 45 questions / 56 minutes
English – 55 questions / 65 minutes 
Retest date available for Reading and Math sections only
 
Calculators are NOT permitted on this test.

In order to fill out an application for the ADN program, you must make an 85% on the Reading 70% on English section on this test .

You must present a photo ID (1) Driver's License, Student ID, Employee Badge or Passport, (2) A document with your Social Security Number on it (Social Security Card) to test.  See Prohibited Materials Policy

If you do not make an 85% on the Reading or 70% on English Section of this test, please register for a retest in the testing office.

You must make an 85% on the MATH section in order to be exempt from taking the Nursing MATH course.

Students who are eligible to pick up an application package must have the following official documents to the Nursing Department no later that the published deadline.  These documents include:

  • OFFICIAL HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPTS - SEALED
  • For Official GED scores, contact the State of Texas or the place where you tested.  If you were home schooled, you must provide a Notarized copy of your high school scores.
  • OFFICIAL COLLEGE TRANSCRIPTS - Including SPC- SEALED
The Nursing Department on the Levelland Campus is located in the Technical Arts Bldg. Room 110

If you have previously taken the TEAS Test for RN or LVN, please follow these instructions before scheduline a testing date: Call ATI Testing at 1-800-667-7531 and request your login and password. The TEAS test is security coded, and you must have the correct login and password information to take this test. If you have any questions, please contact Juli Wood at jwood@southplainscollege.edu

All students registering for the TEAS Test must have a valid email address. You may be denied testing if you do not comply with this requirement.

Examinees who are late will need to reschedule and pay testing fee again.
