Go Centers
What is a Go Center? Go Centers are high-school based recruiting centers for higher education. There are currently fourteen established Go Centers in the Tech Prep service area. These centers provide information on going to college including financial aid, college applications, and college deadlines.
Each school was given $600 to utilize in their Go Centers. Many schools purchased college-related guides, magazines, and resources for their centers. A number of other schools focused their efforts on a single event and provided a meal as well as door prizes. Many of the schools were very creative in their approach to reaching their peers. It was impressive to see the creativity and hard work of all the schools. Most of the students involved in a Go Center are also involved in many other activities. However, they understand the importance of higher education and the need to spread the word to their classmates.
