What are the admissions requirements for South Plains College

South Plains College has an open admissions policy. To be eligible for admission to SPC, you must have graduated or received a diploma from an accredited high school or have successfully completed the General Education Development Test.

South Plains College does not have an application deadline or fee and does not require the ACT or SAT.

 

Where are you located?

South Plains College is located in the South Plains area of Texas. We have four campuses to serve you.

South Plains College also has extension centers in Muleshoe, Denver City and Littlefield.

 

Do I need to take the ACT or SAT?

The ACT and SAT are not required for admission to South Plains College. However, students applying for South Plains College scholarships must submit ACT or SAT scores.

 

When is the scholarship deadline?

The South Plains College scholarship deadline is March 1 each year.

What is the Texas Success Initiative (TSI)?

The Texas Success Initiative (TSI) is a state program designed to ensure that all Texas institutions provide placement testing, personal advisement and appropriate instructions to students to enhance their opportunities for success in their college studies.  All new students entering Texas college and universities are required to take a placement test prior to enrolling in college level courses, unless exempt from testing under specified state standards.  More more information visit our Testing/TSI web site.
