South Plains College Police
The South Plains College Police Department was founded on June 9th of 1983 by the Board of Regents. At that time the South Plains College Police Department employed only one officer. Today, the South Plains College Police Department is made up of 6 TCLEOSE commissioned officers.
The mission of the South Plains College Police Department is to protect life and property and provide law enforcement services to South Plains College community including students, faculty, staff and visitors.
South Plains College provides professional police services at the Levelland Campus and SPC Reese Center. Professional security personnel are provided at the Advanced Technology Center (ATC) in Lubbock and the Plainview Center. All campus police officers are certified Texas Peace Officers with full law enforcement authority.
