Scheduling: All tests require pre-registration and payment at the time of registration. Seating is limited. Registration must be completed at least 3 days prior to the scheduled test date.
Registration: To register in person, please come by the Testing and Special Services Office in the Student Services Building. To register by mail, print out registration form, enclose appropriate fees and mail to address indicated on the registration form.
Availability of Tests: Seating is limited. We recommend that you call for testing availability prior to mailing your registration form or prior to visiting the campus. (806) 894-9611 ext. 2530
Identification: Students must present two different types of identification at the time of testing. (See description of acceptable forms of identification below. Students with unacceptable forms of identification will be denied admission to testing and asked to repay and reschedule their testing date:
PHOTO IDENTIFICATION – SEE DESCRIPTION BELOW FOR ACCEPTABLE FORMS OF PHOTO IDENTIFICATION:
An official (Valid & Current) photo identification card such as a student ID CURRENT SCHOOL YEAR, Valid Driver's License - NOT EXPIRED, employee badge or passport.
SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER IDENTIFICATION – SEE DECRIPTION BELOW:
Your social security card or some piece of identification with this number on it prior to taking any test. A student will not be allowed to test without proper identification. Please check identification criteria for each test. Some tests such as CLEP differ on the type of identification that is acceptable.
Testing Times: All students should report for testing at least 15 minutes prior to their testing time. Students who are late will be denied testing and will be required to reschedule testing.
Proctoring: Lab personnel visually monitor students while testing. Closed circuit cameras are also used to monitor activity in the testing center. Any irregulations in the administration process are reported to the Testing Coordinator and the Director of Guidance and Counseling.
Special Accommodations: Students who have been approved for special accommodations need to call Mari Evans, the Special Services Coordinator, at (806) 894-9611, ext. 2529 or e-mail mevans@southplainscollege.edu to schedule testing times.
Note: No children are allowed in the Testing Lab as a courtesy to all.
