BMC. Vice President for Finance and Administration

1. The Vice President for Finance and Administration works closely with the instructional division of the college; however, responsibility for directing the programs within these divisions shall be the responsibility of the Vice President for Academic Affairs who in turn will work with each of the deans of the division.

2. The Vice President for Finance and Administration has management responsibilities for the following areas:

    Business Office
    Purchasing Office
    Information Technology to include the Computer Center and Network Administration
    Food Service
    College Book Store
    College Post Office
    Physical Plant
    Copy Center
    Telecommunications

3. The Vice President for Finance and Administration works closely with the Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs, Provost, and the divisional deans in the assembly of the college's budget.  The Vice President for Finance and Administration is instrumental in the interpretation of policy and procedural matters and assists other administrators in communicating them to the faculty and staff.

4. The Vice President for Finance and Administration shall serve as a permanent member of the Administrative Council, Executive Council and other committees as appropriate.

5. The Vice President for Finance and Administration will serve as liaison officer from the college to area schools, certain groups and agencies, as well as individuals as directed by the President.

6. The Vice President for Finance and Administration shall supervise all elections.

7. The Vice President for Finance and Administration will compile and publish the annual operating budget and assist the President in presenting the budget to the Board of Regents.

8. The Vice President for Finance and Administration supervises management of investments and the inventory of plant assets.

9. The Vice President for Finance and Administration prepares the Legislative Appropriation Request for submission to the Legislative Budget Board prior to each Legislative Session. 

10. The Vice President for Finance and Administration prepares the Report of Fundable Operating Expenses for submission annually to the Higher Education Coordinating Board and other reports/information the Board may require. 

11. The Vice President for Finance and Administration shall perform other duties assigned by the President.
