FO. Student Housing Policy (BP)
All full-time students are required to live in college housing with the following exceptions: (a) students living with relatives; (b) married students; (c) students who are required to live at or near the place of employment; (d) medical or emotional reasons (verification from physician is required); (e) if college housing is filled, students will be referred to off-campus housing. All off-campus housing must be approved by the office of the Deans of Students or Dean of Student Life.
Students living in college housing must carry a minimum course load of 12 semester hours.
South Plains College houses 278 men and 192 women in residence halls. In addition, on-campus apartment accommodations are available for 96 women students. College residence halls are closed during Thanksgiving, Christmas and Spring Recess. However, apartments remain open during the entire duration of housing contracts.
