New Student Experience

At South Plains College, we are committed to student success through educational excellence. Research shows that the key to a successful college experience is built upon a solid foundation during the first year. The New Student Experience at South Plains College has been intentionally designed to provide a supportive environment and create a solid foundation in order to propel you toward future success. The New Student Experience begins with a Summer Program designed to make your transition to college successful, and continues with a Classroom Experience as we assist you through your first semester of college.

Congratulations on your acceptance to South Plains College, and we look forward to being a part of your future success!

Online / Distance Education Orientation

Not all students will attend a traditional class.  Many will choose to do some of their studies via one of our distance learning routes.  Because we believe that a good start is essential to success we offer this experience online.  We strongly reccomend that students participating in the online version of New Student Experience correspond with an advisor prior to registration.
