ACCUPLACER
Beginning with the Fall 1989 semester, all students who are not otherwise exempt must take an approved placement test (THEA, ACCUPLACER, ASSET, COMPASS) prior to enrollment in college level classes. ACCUPLACER is a computer-based test.
Pre-registration before 1:00 p.m. the day prior to testing is required for each test. (Warning! The test may be full before that time.) To pre-register in person, come to the Plainview Center at 1920 W. 24th Street between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. A current picture ID and a signed social security card or some other official document with the social security number on it is required in order to pre-register for a test. Payment for the exam is required at the time of pre-registration. Pre-registration may also be done by mail or fax. Click the Registration form link and follow the instructions.

The test fee is $30.00 to take all required sections: Reading, Math, English multiple choice and an Essay. The cost for taking either one or two sections is $20.00. Payment must be received at the time of registration. If the test is taken for the cosmetology program, the cost is $15.00.
