ADN Testing

The TEAS (Nursing Entrance Exam) is the entrance exam to be admitted to the Associate Degree Nursing Program at the Plainview Campus.   

 

Currently this test is only for those applicants applying for the Transition Program

 

(Current LVN's who are interested in becoming RN's)

 

 

 

The Nursing Department strongly advises that student's

complete the following pre-requisites before testing:

 

Engl-1301

 

Psyc-2301

 

Chem-1406

 

Biol-2401

 

A list of ALL pre-requisites can be found in the SPC catalog,  

 

or by consulting the program advisor listed at the top of the page.

If the student has previously taken the TEAS test for the LVN program or ADN program in the past, it is their responsibility to contact ATI testing @ atitesting.com in order to get their password and username before the test date. The student must have an e-mail address or he/she will not be allowed to test.
 
 
The student testing must a valid picture ID such as an ID badge or student ID and something with their SS # on it or they will be denied testing and their testing receipt.  If the student is late to the test they will required to reschedule and pay again.
 
 
 

Registration is done through the Testing Office located on the Levelland Campus

The cost is $30.00, payable at the time of registration.

The TEAS test consists of:

 

Reading - 40 questions / 50 minutes

 

Math - 45 questions / 56 minutes

 

Science - 30 questions / 38 minutes

 

The retest date is available for Reading & Math sections only

 

 

 

Calculators are NOT permitted on this test

 

 

 

In order to apply for the ADN Program, a student must make 85% on the Reading section of the test.

 

 If a student does not meet this standard, he/she must register for a retest date.

 

 A student must make 85% on the Math section in order to be exempt from taking the Nursing MATH course.
