Computer-Aided Drafting and Design Technology
Offered at the Levelland Campus
Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) is a field
that presents many opportunities in high-tech industry. The
Computer-Aided Drafting and Design Technology curriculum
is designed to provide students with the essential knowledge
and skills in engineering drawing and specialized software.
Upon obtaining an Associate of Applied Science degree, the
student is prepared to enter the workforce as an entry-level
computer-aided drafting and design specialist. Further, graduates
of the Associate of Applied Science degree may consider
the Tech Prep Enhanced Skills Certificate to be a continuum of
the Associate of Applied Science degree. A certificate program
is also offered to those students interested in pursuing a career
in computer-aided drafting, but who do not wish to take the
academic courses involved in obtaining an Associate of Applied
Science degree.
Program advisor is Pete Stracener, program coordinator and
professor of computer-aided drafting and design technology.

Computer-Aided Drafting and Design Certificate
Offered at the Levelland Campus
This certificate program focuses primarily on Computer-
Aided Drafting of Architectural and Mechanical structures. The
certificate introduces students to essential elements of a CADD
specialist’s education. Individuals completing this certificate
program are qualified to enter the workforce as entry-level
Computer-Aided Drafting Specialists. This is a TSI-waived certificate.
Enrollment in a degree level course outside this certificate
will subject the student to mandatory testing/remediation
as prescribed by TSI regulations.
