Electronics Service Technology

Offered at the Levelland Campus
The Electronics Service Technology program is designed
to provide students with skills necessary to become an entrylevel
electronics technician. The curriculum is in tune with
the ever-changing needs of the electronics service industry.
Graduates of the EST program may obtain employment in the
following areas: manufacturing, industrial, medical, consumer
products, communications, personal computers, networking
and other specialized areas. The following curriculum meets all
requirements for the Associate of Applied Science degree. The
program is designed to articulate Tech Prep transfer courses.
Two optional Certificates of Proficiency are also offered in this
program.

Program advisor is Raymond Elizondo, program coordinator and
associate professor of electronics service technology.

This curriculum is designed for students who wish to develop
specific job skills in electronics servicing with a specialization
in computer repair, troubleshooting and network technology.
A Certificate of Proficiency is awarded upon completion of
this course of study.

This is a TSI-waived certificate. Students declaring this
major are not subject to the TSI regulations unless they enroll
in a course outside the prescribed curriculum.
