Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology Certificates

Residential/Commercial Heating and Air Conditioning Technician Certificate

Offered at the Levelland Campus
Students may elect to complete the following curriculum
and receive a Certificate of Proficiency in Residential/
Commercial Heating and Air Conditioning Technician. This
certificate is designed to give the student skills to maintain,
service and troubleshoot residential/commercial refrigeration
heating and air conditioning equipment. It includes heat
pump technology, hydronic equipment and an emphasis on
electronic controls and energy management systems. Capstone
Experience: To qualify for the Certificate of Proficiency, the
student must pass the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration
Industry Competency Exam.

Residential Air Conditioning Installation Technician Certificate

Offered at the Levelland Campus
Students may elect to complete the following curriculum
and receive a Certificate of Proficiency in Residential
Air Conditioning Installation Technology. This certificate is
designed to give the student the fundamental knowledge of
residential air conditioning split systems with the maximum
capacity of 60,000 BTU’s. It does not include heat pump technology
or the ability to service, maintain or troubleshoot air
conditioning systems. Capstone Experience: To qualify for
the Certificate of Proficiency, the student must pass an Air-
Conditioning written exam.
