Computer-Aided Drafting & Design Technology
Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) is a field that presents many opportunities in high-tech industry. This Computer-Aided Drafting and Design Technology curriculum is designed to provide students with the essential knowledge and skills in engineering drawing and specialized software. Upon obtaining an Associate of Applied Science degree, the student is prepared to enter the workforce as an entry-level computer-aided drafting and design specialist. Further, graduates of the Associate of Applied Science degree may consider the Tech Prep Enhanced Skills Certificate to be a continuum of the Associate of Applied Science degree. A certificate program is also offered to those students interested in pursuing a career in computer-aided drafting, but who do not wish to take the academic courses involved in obtaining an Associate of Applied Science degree.
Program advisor is Phyllis Kennon, program coordinator and assistant professor of computer-aided drafting and design technology.
