Email Configuration for Windows Mobile Devices

Windows Mobile devicees can be configured to receive your SPC email directly into Outlook E-Mail.  The configuration below is for Windows Mobile 6.  (Caution - using email with Windows Mobile is considered a data connection for most cell phone providers.  You should have an unlimited data plan to use this feature.)

1. Download the Security Certificate for Root Certificate Provider for South Plains College to your Windows Mobile device.

2. Find the above certificate on your device and open it.  This will import the certificate into your Root Certificate Store on your device.

3. Run Outlook on your device and add a new account.  The server address to add is owa.southplainscollege.edu

Check the box for "This server requires and encrypted (SSL) connection"

Click Next.

4. Enter your SPC username and password.  The domain should be entered as SPC

If you do not know your SPC username and password, you can retrieven them through the Forgot Username / Reset Password link on MySPC.

Optionally check the "Save Password" dialog box.

Click Next.

5. Check the items you want to syncronize.

Click Finish.

 

You will now automatically receive your SPC email on your Windows Mobile Device.
