The purpose of the Business Administration Department and its programs at South Plains College is to prepare the student for transfer to a university for completion of the bachelor's degree. This objective is met by providing the basic curriculum that is the foundation for higher level business courses.

Training Facilities
South Plains College’s business administration program offers you the opportunity
to apply accounting, economic and mathematical theory to the contemporary business
world. The dynamic nature of business and how it functions in regional and global
environments require that you be able to think and communicate logically and clearly.
The classroom setting at SPC encourages the open exchange of ideas necessary to develop
these important reasoning skills. Additionally, state-of-the-art computer labs provide
you with an opportunity to use microcomputers for business applications and study.
Classes at SPC are small, averaging around 25 students, so you can be sure of receiving
individual attention.
Program of Study
In order to receive an Associate of Science degree in Business Administration, students
must successfully complete a minimum of 60 semester hours of selected courses.
Faculty members advise students as to what courses should be taken in order to ensure
transfer success.
SPC’s Business Administration program offers a basic core curriculum in the arts and
sciences. This curriculum builds the foundation for your transfer to a university.
